Eliana - 12 months

Oh my... I have gotten so far behind in blogging. Thankfully, I keep a running list of things that I want to remember to blog about on my phone, so I can remember things that you are learning and doing.

Eliana you are 12 months old!!!

- You are wearing mostly 12-month clothes, but you can still wear some 9-months. You can even still

wear some 6-12 months.

- You weighed 20.5 lbs at your doctor’s appointment on 3/18/13.

- You were 28 inches long at your appointment.

- They had to give you shots and take blood at this appointment. It was not fun…at all. You did as

good as can be expected with the shots, but oh my, the bloodwork was awful. They pricked your

finger, and then they had to fill up one vial. Basically, she sat there and squeezed your finger for about

5 minutes. You were not happy! You screamed the entire time.

- You are starting to figure out that you don’t want to eat green things. Other than that, you will eat

almost anything.

- You still love Cheerios!

- You have started drinking from straw cups!

- We let you try ice cream for the first time on your birthday! You loved the taste, but hated the

temperature! You kept wanting more, but then you would make a hilarious face!

- You are getting better at standing by yourself without holding onto anything, but you aren’t walking,

yet.

-You are still sleeping through the night!

- Naptime…you were doing better with this, but then you got a cold. Hopefully, it’s just a short

setback. One day, you woke up early from your nap, and Daddy put a stuffed animal next to you, and

you went back to sleep. It doesn’t work every time though.

 - You’re still an attention hog.

- You have 8 teeth!

- You have discovered the one cabinet that we purposefully don’t have locks on…the Tupperware

cabinet. This is your favorite place to be!

- Still having temper tantrums, and I doubt if that will change anytime soon.

- You don’t pull my hair anymore!

- You can say, “Mama,” “Dada,” “ball,” “bye,” “yeah,” “that (which comes out as “dat” and it’s super

cute!!!!),” and “cheese.”

- You still love baths!

- You got your first bump on your head when you climbed on one of our guitar cases and fell off and

hit your head. It was very sad for Mommy.

- You figured out how to get the soft drink cans out of the boxes. I have to hide them from you now.

- You have a new, big girl car seat. You look so tiny in it!

- You took one step on 3/4/13!!!

- You started grinding your teeth, and it is a terrible sound!!!

- You are so snuggly now! You love to hug your stuffed animals and dolls!

- One of your dolls has a baby bottle that goes with it. You immediately put the bottle in your mouth

and try to drink from it. I think this is hilarious since you never took a bottle!

-Sometimes I feel like you have an internal alarm clock that is set to go off at 6:30 AM and 20 and 40

minutes after you fall asleep. It is uncanny.

- You love light switches!

- Mommy and Daddy had food poisoning on 2/15/13, but you were a very good girl. I never knew how

hard it would be to be sick with a baby. We basically had to keep you in your exersaucer and pack n’

play all day. It was awful, but you were great!

- This is proof that you really do cry.

- Kisses for Mommy!

- Silly faces with Daddy

- Valentine's Day with Daddy!

- Your first Valentine's Day!

- We let you eat chocolate for the first time on Valentine's Day! The next few pictures show the progression of this.
